As an alternative to booking a DJ (pricey, over-the-top or simply wrong in the wrongest sense), why not rent some proper PA speakers and play your own choice of music from your iPod or your laptop. I can supply to you some stonkingly good PA speakers that will either be subtle background music or pumping upfront beats. Prices from £50 (2x 500W powered speakers on stands plus accessories) to £150 (full bi-amped 2kw system for a big bass sound) for a weekend hire. Price per event not per day and inclusive of delivery, setup and collection. I can also supply a microphone for speeches and LED colour changing dance floor lights for a small extra fee (contact me for a full quotation). These prices apply to anything within an easy drive of Croydon, South London (by that I mean about an hour) - anything longer and the price will be a little more to account for the extra delivery and collection time.
